Love Ain’t Easy!

Three people living in together are caught in a complex web of emotions. How their friendship turns into love and that love causes them hurt is what Cocktail is about.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in leading roles. However, the film’s director Homi Adajania admits that the leading role was first offered to Imran Khan.

“Saif was not the first choice. Imran was supposed to do it but he was not sure if he wanted to do it at that point of time,” Adajania recently said in an interview.

Cocktail introduces to Bollywood the beautiful model Diana Penty, who has been a face to reckon with on Indian modelling circuit since 2005 when she was first noticed at Indo-Italian festival.

Reportedly, director Imtiaz Ali considered signing Diana Penty for his Rockstar, but later changed his mind and rather suggested Diana’s name to Homi Adajania for Cocktail. Imtiaz has co-written the story of Cocktail.

A major part of Cocktail has been shot in London and Cape Town. The supporting roles in the film are played by Randeep Hooda, Dimple Kapadia and Boman Irani.
