You must have heard people saying that watching a film’s shoot is quite boring. So, what goes behind the cameras while the movie is being made is certainly a tedious process with crew members taking care of every detail from production design to the look and feel of the film. Since Teri Meri Kahaani has the lead couple Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra romancing in three time periods, director Kunal Kohli and his team did a lot of research to create the time of 1910 (Lahore) and 1960 (Bombay). Here is the making of the film.

The video of the making of Teri Meri Kahaani opens with a comment of Kunal Kohli. The director talks about the concept of soul-mates used in the film. He also clarifies that the film is not on punarjanam, but about same people meeting in three different times and finding an instant connect. The first part of the making also shows Shahid Kapoor as a prankster on the sets of the film. Watch him when he tries to dab a cake on Priyanka’s face.

Now, coming to the costumes of Priyanka Chopra, fashion designer Manish Malhotra says that they did a lot of research for it, and even talked to the yesteryear diva Asha Parekh for Priyanka’s character. PC plays an actress in 1960s and has tried to imbibe mannerisms of the Bollywood actresses of that time. She even took some help from Saira Banu for it.

The second part of the making gives a peek into the three love stories of Javed-Aradhna, Govind-Rukhsar and Krish-Radha. Shahid is most decent in the modern time and a big-time casanova in 1910, says Kunal. Also Priyanka in 1910 is a feisty Punjabi girl. Both the actors said that the story of 1910 is entertaining.

Releasing the making of the film is a nice move, as watching it gives a good insight into the film, its characters and what the audience can expect from the film. Watch the making in three parts and also catch some recent dialogue promos from Teri Meri Kahaani:
