Freida Pinto never wishes to be typecast as an Indian girl in her films, likewise all her photoshoots ought to look different. If for one she is a sex kitten, who knows, for another she may be an ultra fashionista. Her recent photoshoot with the indie fashion magazine Flaunt shows the stunning actress in retro glam of the 50s.

Channeling once again her inner diva, Freida goes all sultry and flirty for the magazine. Her enviable toned abs are once again on display as the actress revamps the 50s’ retro glam for the mag. Seen in a short raven-haired wig, Freida has worn dresses by designer labels like Bottega Veneta and Versace.

While talking to the magazine, she scotches rumours of her becoming a demanding Hollywood diva, and lashes out at the Indian media, “When I was promoting this big-budget film, some Indian media reported that I was being a diva on set, and that’s the reason I did not want to come to India to promote the film. I’m like, ‘What? I’m in f***ing America. That’s why I can’t promote the film in India. It’s not easy to be in two places at once.’ It’s not true.”

Freida Pinto even speaks about the Indian film industry and how it has evolved to create more opportunities for the actresses, crediting Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor for treading a path for starlets to follow. No wonder, the Slumdog Millionaire girl Freida likes to speak from the heart, and is not wary of the naysayers.
