She is stunning and impressively pretty with a million buck smile, but Katie Holmes was hardly seen in a photoshoot in recent times. Used to keeping a low profile and seen otherwise mostly with her star husband Tom Cruise in tow, Katie Holmes did a photoshoot for a magazine just a few days before she shook Hollywood with her divorce announcement.

The actress also got a chic makeover for the photoshoot, and looked simple yet stunning in the shots for the September issue of C magazine. Naturally, with that infectious smile, it requires little to make Katie Holmes look good. However, seeing her calm and composed, no one could guess what was going on in her mind and that she already had her plans in place to end her marriage with her husband of seven years, Tom Cruise.

Did she discuss Tom with the C magazine? The editor, who interviewed the 33-year-old star for the mag the day before her surprise divorce filing, told WWD that Katie made sure to never mention her then-husband. When asked if having Suri made her closer to her husband, Katie replied: “I don’t know. I mean...I don't know.”

Katie Holmes has now shifted her base to New York and is enjoying her work and family time with her parents and Suri.

For the much-talked about C magazine photoshoot, the actress has tried four different looks. In one she is seen acting coy in a ballgown, while for another she is sporting unkempt hair and is wearing a loose white shirt. The cover has the lovely lassie in a LBD and looking every bit gorgeous. Check out Katie Holmes in this photoshoot:
