The Pirates! Band of Misfits

Pirates are mostly thought of as pelagic creatures; but what if they roam about on the streets of London? Well, we know it sounds really comical! Perhaps that is why we are looking forward to watching the upcoming Hollywood animation film The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits centres on The Pirate Captain (voice by Hugh Grant), a pirate who badly wants to win the Pirate of the year Award! But for that, he has to defeat his archrivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek)!

If the trailer of the film is to go by, The Pirates! Band of Misfits looks rip-roaring; there are several LOL moments! The one which we ought to mention is the sea monster scene! The Pirate Captain, while going through a map, notices a dirty huge sea monster drawn on it!

However, a person standing next to him says that the sea monster has been drawn just to for the purpose of designing and ornamenting the map! Funnily for us, and sadly for The Pirate Captain and his team, the sea monster is indeed present inside the ocean!

The Pirates! Band of Misfits will reportedly release in India this Friday, 17 August! However, we are sure the film will face stiff competition from Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger! Wonder if the dubbed Hindi version of The Pirates! Band of Misfits would be a sure-shot success if named Ek Tha Pirate; just saying!
