A Party To Remember

Karan Johar’s 40th birthday bash at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai on Friday saw an explosion of glamour on the red carpet, with the Bollywood divas showing up in their best glad rags.

Dressed to kill was Priyanka Chopra in a body-hugging silver-black gown that give the actress a decidedly suave and chic look. We also loved Kareena Kapoor’s casual pick of a short dress with an exotic print. Elder sister Karisma Kapoor was equally drool-worthy and looked a million bucks in a black, shimmery dress.

Kangana Ranaut’s fashion choices have gotten better over the years, and the lady was every bit a stunner in a full-length gown, covering her from neck to toe. She carried the dress with great confidence.

Since the color theme of the birthday bash was black and white, Bipasha Basu too chose a black dress, but it was Sonakshi Sinha who wowed us more with her black gown that had some intricate work done around the midriff.

The bash also had some glam divas opting for voluminous dresses. Rani Mukherjee wore a steel grey coloured dress that gave her a rather fatty look, and even the otherwise glamourous Neha Dhupia disappointed a bit with a rather tacky dress.

Other stunners of the evening were Urmila Matondakar, Nargis Fakhri, Sophie Choudry and Dia Mirza. Dia was most uniquely dressed in a white glossy frock.
