Tom Tops The Highest Paid

This piece of news might come as a little balmy respite for Tom Cruise, currently facing a divorce from his wife of five years, Katie Holmes. He has been named by Forbes as the Highest-Paid actor in Hollywood.

According to Forbes, Tom Cruise earned $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012. A lion’s share of this earning comes from the Hollywood blockbuster Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol which earned more than $700 million at global box office.

The 50-year-old superstar also got paid well for the upcoming sci-fi film Oblivion, slated to hit theatres in April.

Interestingly, Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler tied up for the second place in the Forbes list. But there’re nowhere near Cruise.

Cruise’s huge year puts him $38 million ahead of the two actors.
